Ezran, Callum, Rayla, Zym and N'than enter Rex Igneous' lair. They meet the Archdragon of Earth, but even after learning of Avizandum's death and the true circumstances of their coming, he cannot help them, as none of the archdragons truly know where Aaravos' prison is. Just then, Claudia appears and puts them all - except Zym - to sleep with dark magic. Janai has a private discussion with Amaya about what she wants to do with her life, which renews her resolve to become a queen worthy of her people. However, Karim decides to accelerate his plans by challenging Janai to a blood duel for the rulership over Lux Aurea.
